An opportunity has arisen for a Field Hockey Sports Exchange Advisor (SEA) to live and work in Japan from August 2026 as part of the Japan Exchange and Teaching (JET) Programme.
The JET Programme is a Japanese Government initiative, promoting cultural exchange at the grass-roots level. Now in its 40th year, the programme has had over 70,000 participants from 57 countries, with around 200 New Zealanders currently based in Japan.
The 2026 placement location is in Akaiwa City, Okayama Prefecture in Japan.Interviews will be held at the Embassy of Japan in Wellington, New Zealand.

June: Q&A Information Session
Late July: Pre-Departure Orientation
Early August: Departure for Japan
All applications must arrive at the Embassy of Japan in Wellington (by post or hand delivered) by the stated deadline.
