Bay of Plenty Hockey administers the Bay of Plenty Hockey Secondary School Competition. Primary and Intermediate competitions are administered by local Sub-Associations.

Bay of Plenty Senior hockey comprises 10 Senior Teams at present who compete in the Baywide Competition and either Intercity (BOP, Tauranga and Waikato) or Tauranga club competitions
