Bay of Plenty Hockey Senior Competitions.
Bay of Plenty Senior hockey comprises 10 Senior Teams at present who compete in the Baywide Competition and either Intercity (BOP, Tauranga and Waikato) or Tauranga club competitions. Bay of Plenty Hockey administers the Baywide Senior Competition which is run in conjunction with Tauranga Hockey at the start of the Season.
The Baywide competition provides the qualification round for Intercity.
The Intercity competition, run in conjunction with Waikato and Tauranga Hockey Associations provides a high level of competition for our leading Senior players.
Clubs who do not qualify for Intercity join the Tauranga Hockey Competition for their second round of competition.
